What We Supply

Helium gas, packaged for how you actually use it

Not every application needs a cryogenic dewar. MRI systems still draw on high-purity helium gas as push gas during servicing, labs run it as a carrier and balance gas, and industrial lines use it for leak testing and shielding. For all of these, gas cylinders — not liquid — are the right format.

Xpress Helium supplies high-purity helium gas in aluminium or steel cylinders ranging from 10 to 50 litres water capacity, chosen to match the pressure and duty rating of the equipment drawing on them. Where a single cylinder can’t cover the consumption rate, we manifold multiple cylinders into quads or bundles, giving continuous supply without swapping cylinders mid-run.

Every cylinder is periodically tested for visual damage, weight loss and elasticity, and is rated for use across weather conditions — so what arrives on site is fit to connect, not just fit to ship.

Cylinder Formats

Single cylinders, quads or bundles

Every format draws from the same high-purity stock — the difference is how much continuous flow you need before a swap or refill.

Single Cylinder

10L – 50L water capacity

Quad Pack

4 cylinders, manifolded

Cylinder Bundle

High-volume manifolded stacks

Purity & Quality

Grade matters as much as volume

Helium purity is read as the number of “nines” after the decimal — each additional nine strips out more residual moisture, nitrogen and other trace gases. We supply against both grades below, matched to what the equipment actually requires.

5.0

Standard Purity — 99.999%

Suitable for most MRI and NMR magnet cooling, general cryogenic use, and industrial applications where trace-level contaminants aren't process-critical.

≤10 ppm total impurities

6.0

Ultra-High Purity — 99.9999%

Used for research instrumentation, calibration standards and sensitive laboratory work where residual moisture or nitrogen can affect results.

≤1 ppm total impurities

Applications

Where our helium gas is used

The same cylinders and purity grades serve medical servicing, laboratory work and industrial process lines.

MRI Push Gas

High-purity helium gas used during MRI magnet servicing and pressure management.

Leak Testing

Trace-gas leak detection across pipelines, vessels and sealed assemblies.

Welding Shielding

Inert shielding gas for TIG and specialty welding processes.

Lab Calibration

Balance and zero gas for calibration mixtures and analytical instrumentation.

DELIVERY MODE — HELIUM GAS

Source to Site

01

Scheduled Delivery

Booked in advance against a known consumption rate or planned service window — our standard delivery format.

02

Emergency Dispatch

Rapid turnaround when push-gas or process supply runs low, drawn from our standing cylinder stock.

03

Empty Cylinder Return

Empty cylinders collected on the next visit or a scheduled pickup, so sites don't hold cylinder stock long-term.

Handled by people who understand pressurised gas

Helium gas cylinders are stored and transported under high pressure, and multi-cylinder quads and bundles add manifold pressure and flow considerations on top of that. Our delivery and installation teams are trained specifically on pressurised cylinder handling — not general logistics — before they touch a manifold on your site.
